Boo Wreath and Hot Air Balloon Card

I have been really working on getting things ready to kick off my very first Home Gathering.  I finally finished my display board and a home decor item.  Here's part of the display board.  Those little treat cups make the cutest cards.  The ice cream cone is from the kit and is SUPER fast to put together.  The other using the treat cup and Artiste cartridge to create a hot air balloon and clouds.  Neat how you can use the so-called Halloween papers to create something not at all spooky!

My home decor project was a wreath.  I wanted to showcase the Mini Banner and the rosettes!

Happy Birthday Card Set Part I {Lucy}

I am working on another card set with magazine holder.  Here are two of the cards so far.

The first has one of my favorite elements...Sparkle!  I decided to stamp Happy Birthday to you on the inside and leave the outside for just a cupcake.

I mean seriously...just look at the sparkle!!  ;)

Next is a card that has a minimal feel to it.  I wanted this set to be a range of birthday cards.  I'm going to be making some masculine cards as well.  Even though this paper pack is considered 'girly', as with most packs, it can be used in a variety of ways.

Stay tuned to see the others in this set.  When I post the rest I'll list the supply details.

Thanks for stopping by!

My Creations Star {La Belle Vie}

If my high school French serves me correctly, then this paper pack means The Beautiful Life.

Here's my latest project.  It's the My Creations Star covered with paper, sparkles, and butterflies.  I took A LOT of pictures trying to capture the color and details.  I'll just throw them all at ya and you can see what you think....

In the lightbox:

On my back porch:

In my kitchen in the morning sun:

Like I said....lots of pictures.   :)

I used a shape on the Artiste cartridge as a starting point for my template (cone overlay pg 61).  I inked the star edges all in black to prevent any white from peeking through.  I used Bonding Memories glue for the paper, and Liquid Glass for the butterflies.  I randomly added the tiniest Sparkles in two colors, and appropriately sized Sparkles for the butterfly body accents.

If you have any questions about this project please contact me for more details.  I'll be happy to get you on your way to making your own!

Two More {Clementine} Cards

Well I ended up making two more cards to go with my card set from yesterday.  Here they are.

These cards use the same products as yesterday's with the addition of Creme Brulee baker's twine.

See you soon!

Magazine Holder {Clementine Card Set}

I found another 3D shape I love on the Artiste cartridge!  Big surprise there!!  It's a little magazine holder.  Now of course it's too small to hold magazines, but at six inches it's perfect to hold a card set.  I choose to feature the Clementine papers.

Here it is with the cards.  I am still deciding if I want to add some embellishment to the outside...

I have made three cards so far to go in it.  I am thinking of adding one or two more.

And here it is empty.  Just so cute!

(I'm still playing around with my light box and camera settings as you can see.  I stumbled across something involving the white balance, so bear with me as I try to figure this whole thing out.)

You may have noticed that my Stash Buster Sunday is on hiatus.  I decided that I really need to focus on creating with my new products to get ready for my first Home Gathering.  I'm sure I'll be back to busting up my stash of supplies before too long.  ;)

Until next time,
Meredith

Business Card Holder {Artiste}

One of the best parts of the CTMH convention is Extravaganza.  It is FOUR hours of creative genius from some of CTMH's most talented consultants.  Each of these consultants creates artwork with new product and then gives instruction on the products and the projects.  Today's feature was a direct result of one of their ideas!

The Artiste cartridge has one of those cute little mailboxes you could use for valentines or something, but one consultant stuck two together, bottom to bottom and came up with an adorable little 3D craft.  She suggested that you could put little Bath and Bodyworks lotions in it.

I immediately wrote down this idea!

When I came home it was one of the first things I cut with my new cartridge.  I decided to use it to hold business cards and pens at gatherings.

I chose the colors to match my business cards.  And I chose burlap because, DUH, it's burlap!!  :)

This 3D flower is also on the Artiste cartridge.  It's really cute.  I cut a circle of burlap, curled the edges to the back to make a little burlap button and then placed it in the center of the flower on a big ol' pile of Liquid Glass.  It's kind of neat how the end result looks like the burlap is somehow threaded through the flower.

I think I may make another and put some sort of treat in it for a door prize.

See you next time!

I was so happy with the Art Philosophy cartridge that I didn't realize I could be even more excited about the new Artiste collection!  There are so many neat 3D shapes on this one and cool holiday cutouts like turkeys, skeletons, and Christmas ornaments.  Not to mention the mini albums and banners!  You definitely want to grab this awesome deal!

There are eight new paper packs in this catalog and here is Avonlea.  A beautiful soft color pallette that is sophisticated and versatile.  It's shown here with the My Creations Bracket Frame.

Something else I am super excited about is the Workshops on the Go cardmaking kits in the new book.  Here is the Avonlea kit.

And just in time for school, here is the Scholastic paper pack.  While it can certainly be used for school LOs, this paper has some awesome pages that can be used for all sorts of things.  Grid and graph and ephemera papers that will work for masculine LOs, cards and projects.

Do you want to see the rest of the paper packs??  Well I think I'll save those for another post.  How about some of the other great things from CTMH?
