September Workshop {part one}

I am thrilled to be able to plan a workshop finally!!  I am still working out the final details, but I am leaning towards have two projects featuring Flirty papers, Tri-fold cards, and or course Shimmer Trim!

For the first project, I chose a cute mini album that I found through Pinterest.  HERE is the link to the original.  It's so adorable and she used the beautiful Lucy papers.

Here is the closed up little album:

And the back:

Opened up on the inside:

The first set of pages:  I used Goldrush ink on Goldrush CS to create the first paper.

Next set.  The trim is from the edge of the B&T paper.

I left a page here without CS or B&T for a little stamped corner.

I really think that it might be my favorite page :)

And here is the view of the back of the project:

First half of it:  The center page is cut outs from the B&T with inked edges placed on Goldrush CS.  And the little mini envelope is just perfect for a little journaling....

The last half of the back:

 And a view from the top!

What do you think?  Does it look like something you would like to make?  I had a great time creating it.  Stay tuned for details about the workshop!

SHE Mini Album {Mirielle, Age 4}

The convention was a little overwhelming for me.  So many new people and a ton of beautiful artwork.  I decided to take most of the Create N Takes home to complete.  Here's a mini album we were given (pre-cut and with instructions) that showcased some of the new products.  It was supposed to be titled "ME", but I don't have that many pictures of myself.  And since my 4 year old's baby album isn't even started yet, I wanted her to have this one to herself.

This was made with all new products...except the twine I used to bind it.  That was my fault.  I had the Slate ribbon to use, but I just lost patience with it and then later realized that I forgot to mount all the paper to the DE shapes.  That would have helped.  Anyway--these little mini album pages are just a few of the 700 images that you can cut with the new Artiste Cricut cartridge.  It has so many cute shapes and holiday stuff AND tons of 3D.  Here's a LINK to the booklet.

PS Did you notice the glitter ribbon?!?  Swoon!!

Until Next Time,
Meredith
