Bicycle Birthday

I saw THIS on Pinterest and fell in love with it.  So I knew I had to recreate it for a birthday card.

What do you think?  Kind of sweet.

I used stamps for the bike and hearts, some of the inks are second generation.  And I used a black ink pen to draw the strings.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Love

I finally this week had a second to make a few cards.  I needed a birthday card and a baby shower card.  And then with the scraps left on my desk I came up with the other card just because I wanted to use the paper packs together.  :)

Here's the card for the baby boy shower.

I love the mustache stamp.  And those prim little buttons of stickers from the Huntington Assortment.

Next up is my combo card.  I got to use the new Lifting Spirits stamp set.  Only available through the Holidays From The Heart gift guide.

Click on the pictures to enlarge them to see details.  I just love the shimmer trim!

Thanks for stopping by!

Some Polka Dot and Gingham "Pinspiration"

One of my favorite Pinterest boards is my Color Inspiration and Fonts board.  I love to just look through it to get ideas for cards.

The other day I saw THIS pin and wanted to make a card that used the colors and patterns in this photo.  I had the idea to use CTMH Sky blue cardstock and run in through the Cuttlebug swiss dot folder then sand it to show the white core....bingo instant polka dot!

I decided to use pink in the ribbon and some deep red roses.  What do you think?  Was this a successful pinspiration??  :)

You're Tweet (using Dream Pop)

Still have my Dream Pop papers within easy reach and I also had my April Stamp of the Month out.  I thought the birdcages could use a sweet little birdie to accompany them!

A super easy card to put together.  Hope you all are having a wonderful day!

Buzz and Bumble

My next card for this week's upcoming workshop uses the Buzz and Bumble Workshop on the Go.  I chose to use the 3x3 card format.  But I also wanted to showcase our new alcohol markers.

I was not very enthusiastic about this paper to begin with--could have something to do with my husband's deathly allergic reaction to bee stings, but seeing it in person I kind of fell for it.

Already thinking ahead to my next project to use it....

Floral Happiness

I'm still trying to come up with two cards for my workshop next Wednesday.  I really wanted to feature the Stamp of the Month for March and a new product or two.

Here is the first card.  Inside reads 'having you as a friend'.  The stamp set has some great sentiments on it, but I just had to work forever to get the layout how I wanted haha.

I am kind of digging the new Chevron Ribbon in Outdoor Denim too.  :)

Hope you all have great plans for the weekend.  My daughters and I will be taking an art lesson!
God Bless!

You R Sweet {Pear and Partridge}

I'm back at it with the Pear and Partridge papers used for a Valentine's card.  I can't help it.  I like it better as a Valentine's paper than I ever did for Christmas!

I can't take credit for using the hearts as cherries.  I know I've seen that before, but I sure did think it would be cute to try.

I inked the edges of the hearts with Smoothie to give them some dimension.  So what do you think?  Is this card sweet??  :)

TGIF!

Small Square Valentine Card {Pear and Partridge}

Continuing with my Christmas paper as Valentine's theme, I created another little card.  I realized that several of the patterns in the Pear and Partridge papers work really well as Valentine's patterns!

This sweet little card is very simple.  I like the almost fabric-pieced look of it.

Hope you all are getting in the Valentine's spirit as well!

Glitter Cupid! {January SOTM}

Well I am definitely on the Valentine's kick.  And here is another card featuring the January Stamp of the Month "Happy Valentine's".

I also used the gold glitter paper again....this time for a cute little cupid!

And yes that is the Christmas paper, Pear and Partridge.  I inked the edges on these two pieces and placed them together to look like a ribbon banner.

Okay.  I really think this one might be my favorite.  :)

Christmas as Valentine's ??

I was looking through my papers yesterday and noticed that the Pear and Partridge paper had lovely Valentine colors and I thought...why not?

And once I started working with it I realized that the gold glitter paper (NEW IN FEBRUARY) would work perfectly!!

I hope you enjoy this new take on another holiday paper!

A Sweet Valentine Card

Last night I made a quick card to satisfy my craving for doing something creative!  The wreath and picture frame were not working out for me so I pushed them aside to make a card.

And I decided I wanted to mix some different paper packs.  This card is using the La Belle Vie and Dakota papers...

It came together pretty fast, but then it is pretty simple.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

October Workshop

Well, last month's workshop went well.  It was so much fun!  Here is what we're doing this month...

It's a mini (3x3) card set with envelopes.

It features La Belle Vie papers, a few techniques and a little sparkle thrown in for good measure.  Each packet will be $10 and have a few leftovers to take home!

What do you think?  Does it look like fun?  Feel free to contact me for more details or if you have any questions.

Boo Wreath and Hot Air Balloon Card

I have been really working on getting things ready to kick off my very first Home Gathering.  I finally finished my display board and a home decor item.  Here's part of the display board.  Those little treat cups make the cutest cards.  The ice cream cone is from the kit and is SUPER fast to put together.  The other using the treat cup and Artiste cartridge to create a hot air balloon and clouds.  Neat how you can use the so-called Halloween papers to create something not at all spooky!

My home decor project was a wreath.  I wanted to showcase the Mini Banner and the rosettes!

My Originals Sweet Surprises Card Kit, skittles!

Two More {Clementine} Cards

Well I ended up making two more cards to go with my card set from yesterday.  Here they are.

These cards use the same products as yesterday's with the addition of Creme Brulee baker's twine.

See you soon!

Magazine Holder {Clementine Card Set}

I found another 3D shape I love on the Artiste cartridge!  Big surprise there!!  It's a little magazine holder.  Now of course it's too small to hold magazines, but at six inches it's perfect to hold a card set.  I choose to feature the Clementine papers.

Here it is with the cards.  I am still deciding if I want to add some embellishment to the outside...

I have made three cards so far to go in it.  I am thinking of adding one or two more.

And here it is empty.  Just so cute!

(I'm still playing around with my light box and camera settings as you can see.  I stumbled across something involving the white balance, so bear with me as I try to figure this whole thing out.)

You may have noticed that my Stash Buster Sunday is on hiatus.  I decided that I really need to focus on creating with my new products to get ready for my first Home Gathering.  I'm sure I'll be back to busting up my stash of supplies before too long.  ;)

Until next time,
Meredith

Convention Cards {final two}

Here's the last of the cards I made.  Probably two of my favorites.....

They came together super fast.  I probably finished them both in less than 30 minutes.  That may have been because two out of my three children were asleep.....

Until next time,

Convention Cards {part two}

Here are two more of the six cards we were able to put together from our convention packets.  Again I have to say I love the fresh color palette.  It's really inspired me to think out of the box when I start putting my own stuff together.

This card is a two piece.  The woodgrain card fits into the little sleeve.  So adorable!

This next one I have to admit I'm a little on the fence about.  It's just not my favorite, but I thought I'd post it anyway.  It's growing on me (wink).

Hope you enjoyed these.  And hopefully I'll have the final two for you tomorrow.

Convention Cards

We received so many great projects to make at the CTMH Convention.  Here are two of the six cards.  I made them both yesterday evening.  It's pretty quick and easy when the paper is all cut and the plans are all laid out!

I have to say I love the way CTMH is using color.  They are throwing fresh combinations together and I totally love it!  For example the way these have the tried and true pink/grey combo with another color thrown in...orange or green.  So funky and fresh!

I also am a little in love with the new accessories like resin flower pins and baker's twine.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend,
Meredith

You're Sweet

I put this card together using a new stamp set I received at the 2012 CTMH Convention.  It's a great set that is perfect for making cute cards!

I paper-pieced the cupcake and colored the icing with the new alcohol marker and then, of course, had to douse it with Prisma glitter--the shinest stuff on earth!

More to come!

Welcome to Texas

I made this card to welcome my upline to Texas.  I rubbed an ink pad over the embossed piece to create the wood grain.  It may not show in the picture, but I raised the star on a foam dot, bent the star points from center to point and then sanded the raised area to distress it.  How fortunate was it that I ordered Born to Ride and it had that barbed wire stamp on it?!?

I am including a local cookbook (from my daughter's school that I had the pleasure of being on the committee to create) and a Tervis tumbler that has the state flag and barbed wire on it.  I'm hoping she'll like the souvenir!

Off to pack (since this post was typed Tuesday but I scheduled it to post Thursday)
