End Of Year Teacher's Card

Another school year is coming to a close...eight days, but who's counting??

I can hardly wait for summer's lazy days!  I know teachers probably can't wait either.  I have always given an end of school gift to Delaney's teacher.  This year (same theme as last year) I am doing a beach bag filled with beach towel, flip flops, sunscreen, aloe vera gel, Off! spray, decks of cards and I am planning on throwing in an Amazon gift card.

So today I sat down to make a card for Delaney to write in....here's what I came up with.

Does it have a beachy theme??  :)  I also used the swiping technique on the flower.

Have a great weekend!

Floral Happiness

I'm still trying to come up with two cards for my workshop next Wednesday.  I really wanted to feature the Stamp of the Month for March and a new product or two.

Here is the first card.  Inside reads 'having you as a friend'.  The stamp set has some great sentiments on it, but I just had to work forever to get the layout how I wanted haha.

I am kind of digging the new Chevron Ribbon in Outdoor Denim too.  :)

Hope you all have great plans for the weekend.  My daughters and I will be taking an art lesson!
God Bless!

So Ready for SUMMER!

One of my bestest friends, in fact we consider each other sisters, wants to do a workshop this month.  She chose to feature the CTMH My Creations Bracket Frame and a beach theme.  I was so excited to do it!  Here's the frame I came up with.  Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it and see the details!  :)

I love love the look of the barn wood paper with the beach theme.  And the Surf's Up papers were so colorful and fun I thought they would work perfectly for any beach themed photo that a person might want to add.  I chose this adorable shot of my son playing in the water from last summer.  Gosh could you just smooch that face or what!?!

The thing about these frames that I love is that you can make them very 3D!  The layout with clouds is in the back of the frame.  The twine with Mini-Clothespins is hanging across the middle and the paper candy is on the outside.  It really draws your eye in.  And the cool part is you can change the photo whenever you want since it's just hanging on the clothes line!!

Just for fun, I'm adding this entry to the Moxie Fab Challenge.

Thanks for dropping by!

October Workshop

Well, last month's workshop went well.  It was so much fun!  Here is what we're doing this month...

It's a mini (3x3) card set with envelopes.

It features La Belle Vie papers, a few techniques and a little sparkle thrown in for good measure.  Each packet will be $10 and have a few leftovers to take home!

What do you think?  Does it look like fun?  Feel free to contact me for more details or if you have any questions.

September Workshop: Part Two

Well I have finally finished my second workshop project.  It's a note pad holder using the Tri Fold card.

I have to say with all honestly, my son climbed up into my lap this morning--fresh from sleep--and helped me pick the color palette.  I love it!  He also helped with the brads and bow....

I used the Swipe Stamp Technique on the bike.  HERE's a Youtube link that shows you how.

This is the little note pad, with a cute stamped sentiment on the first page.

And here's the view from the top.

At this workshop, attendees will get the leftover paper to take home and create more stuff!!

I'm hoping it goes smoothly--it's been quite a while since I've done one of these....

Are you ready for some yummy?!?

Today is THE day!  When you can finally purchase all the incredible new goodies from Close To My Heart!! I am so excited to share this with you!  Here's a few pictures of all the wonderful stuff that CTMH now offers!!

Here's the brand new 2012 Autumn/Winter Idea Book!

I was so happy with the Art Philosophy cartridge that I didn't realize I could be even more excited about the new Artiste collection!  There are so many neat 3D shapes on this one and cool holiday cutouts like turkeys, skeletons, and Christmas ornaments.  Not to mention the mini albums and banners!  You definitely want to grab this awesome deal!

There are eight new paper packs in this catalog and here is Avonlea.  A beautiful soft color pallette that is sophisticated and versatile.  It's shown here with the My Creations Bracket Frame.

Something else I am super excited about is the Workshops on the Go cardmaking kits in the new book.  Here is the Avonlea kit.

And just in time for school, here is the Scholastic paper pack.  While it can certainly be used for school LOs, this paper has some awesome pages that can be used for all sorts of things.  Grid and graph and ephemera papers that will work for masculine LOs, cards and projects.

Do you want to see the rest of the paper packs??  Well I think I'll save those for another post.  How about some of the other great things from CTMH?

Did you know that now it's easier than ever to become a consultant?!?  Now you can join for only $49!  You'll receive everything you need to start your very own business...

If you sign up this month you have the additional bonus of receiving this gorgeous tote bag FREE!  But act fast, supplies are limited!  I happened to get one at convention and can vouch for how awesome it really is!!

Speaking of great things only available this month...what about this lovely art created with the August Stamp of the Month??

Okay.  I know I said I would share the other paper packs at a later date, but I just have to show them to you now.  So here they are:

 La Bella Vie

Moonlight

Pear and Partridge

Flirty

Dakota

Clementine

Whew!  That's a lotta yummy in one post.  And I still haven't covered the 40 color palette and alcohol markers!!  Not to mention all the accessories!!!

This is an Idea Book you are going to want to see in person!  Contact me by email or through my Facebook page to learn how to get one.

Convention Cards {final two}

Here's the last of the cards I made.  Probably two of my favorites.....

They came together super fast.  I probably finished them both in less than 30 minutes.  That may have been because two out of my three children were asleep.....

Until next time,
Meredith

Mojo Monday 251 {Dakota}

I haven't played along with a challenge in literally years.  And to break back into the challenge scene (with my new blog) I decided to start with Mojo Monday.  Their sketches are always so cute!  Just take a look at this one...

I immediately wanted to put a pair of cowboy boots where that flower is!  Don't ask!  Anyway--here's my version...

On the inside I might write: like a pair of sparkly pink cowboy boots!  I have to say I'm still loving the new Slate grey from CTMH.  Ah, and glitter.  A girl can never have too much of it, can she?

Speaking of too much, I recently bought my first pair of cowboy boots since high school!!  {which was--ahem--almost twenty years ago}  They are pretty cute even if I went with distressed tan.  I may go back and get another pair in chocolate...lol

Thanks for stopping!

Convention Cards {part two}

Here are two more of the six cards we were able to put together from our convention packets.  Again I have to say I love the fresh color palette.  It's really inspired me to think out of the box when I start putting my own stuff together.

This card is a two piece.  The woodgrain card fits into the little sleeve.  So adorable!

This next one I have to admit I'm a little on the fence about.  It's just not my favorite, but I thought I'd post it anyway.  It's growing on me (wink).

Hope you enjoyed these.  And hopefully I'll have the final two for you tomorrow.

Convention Cards

We received so many great projects to make at the CTMH Convention.  Here are two of the six cards.  I made them both yesterday evening.  It's pretty quick and easy when the paper is all cut and the plans are all laid out!

I have to say I love the way CTMH is using color.  They are throwing fresh combinations together and I totally love it!  For example the way these have the tried and true pink/grey combo with another color thrown in...orange or green.  So funky and fresh!

I also am a little in love with the new accessories like resin flower pins and baker's twine.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend,
Meredith
